Brentwood Heights
On a whim this couple noticed that her grandparents home was for sale and decided to go through the Open House. By the end of the tour she and her husband had decided to purchase the home! This traditional cottage style home was built in the 1930's. Over the years many changes had been made by the several different owners. One area however had been neglected and that was the Kitchen. The homeowners wanted a space that was functional for both daily cooking but also a space to dine and entertain. The original Breakfast Room was opened up to the Kitchen, banquet seating was designed for casual dining and custom cabinetry in cherry created a buffet with a beverage refrigerator. The working area of the kitchen received custom painted maple cabinetry, quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances and a farmhouse apron front sink. Although the owners wanted an island, space was limited, so instead a custom movable work table was constructed in the same cherry as used in the adjoining Breakfast Room. This table provided additional working space and can be moved for use for different purposes.
